The opening ceremony included the ceremonial start of the Rally competition, which drew a crowd of onlookers interested in checking out the custom autos. The three-day competition ends Sunday at the Laughlin Event Arena with SuperStage. The tribute began with the presentation of colors (shown) and concluded with an invitation from Ramada Express to attend their annual Veterans Day Program on Saturday, November 11 at 1 p.m. (NV time) in the American Heroes Pavilion Theater. The Laughlin International Rally and Motorsports Festival got underway in a big way on Thursday, November 9 at the Ramada Express Hotel Casino with the opening ceremony of the town-wide event. The opening included the ceremonial start of the Rally competition, where spectators were introduced to the rally teams and their custom cars. (Ramada Express is ground central for the Rally and will be home to the media for the competition.) The finale of the Rally is SuperStage on Sunday, November 12 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Nevada time) at the Laughlin Event Arena at Bruce Woodbury Drive. SuperStage is where Rally teams take on challenging parallel dirt courses in the final leg of the competition. The event is open to the public and admission is free. At the conclusion of SuperStage, drivers will offer rides for those 18 years or older who would like to experience the course in a rally car. The cost of the ride is $25 with all proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Colorado River, Shop with a Cop, and the American Heroes Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports Veteran causes.
