Each year, the master chefs at Ramada Express Hotel Casino, Laughlin, NV create special Thanksgiving Day menus for three of its award-winning restaurants. This year is no different as executive chef Rafael Quinones has worked up scrumptious homemade recipes to celebrate this year’s harvest. The finest Thanksgiving spread in Laughlin can be found at The Steakhouse. The dinner begins with a selection of freshly baked breads: sourdough, lavash, and pappadam accompanied by smooth port wine cheese. Your choice of butternut squash or orange soup is followed by a sweet potato salad with mango balsamic dressing. The main course features free range turkey roasted golden brown, roasted corn and prosciutto ham stuffing, chardonnay gravy, home-style mashed potatoes or roasted apples and pine nuts, risotto, and cranberry sauce. For dessert, choose from a selection of delicacies from the pastry cart, including pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread pudding with caramel whiskey sauce. Finish off the meal with The Steakhouse’s exquisite coffee service. The entire meal is $37.99 per person. Doors open at 2 p.m. (NV time) and reservations are suggested. For a casual Thanksgiving meal, Carnegie’s Dining Car is the perfect choice. For just $12.99 per person, guests can enjoy an entire Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings. The meal starts with butternut squash soup or a house salad. The main course features whole roasted turkey, homemade traditional bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, and green beans with toasted almonds. For desert, there’s the to-die-for pumpkin pie or apple pie. This special Thanksgiving dinner will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (NV time). The Roundhouse Buffet opens at 11:30 a.m. (NV time) with its Thanksgiving Day spread. For starters, there’s butternut squash soup, cran-raisin cream fruit salad, and assorted garden greens with choice of toppings and dressings. At the hand carving stations, there’s whole roasted turkey, pork steamship round, and roasted prime rib ($4 extra). The extensive hot line includes chipotle barbeque beef ribs, pecan chicken, smoked pulled pork with maple chow-chow, homemade traditional bread stuffing, hot honey buttered corn bread, mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, green beans with toasted almonds, and corn casserole. A variety of desserts, including pumpkin pie and apple pie, are sure to finish off the meal. At only $5.99 for Distinguished Players Club members ($6.99 for non-members), this holiday buffet is a real value. This year, leave all the cooking, cleaning, and hassle to us! Simply sit back and enjoy the company of family and friends this Thanksgiving holiday at Laughlin’s favorite hotel casino, Ramada Express.
