The Ramada Express Hotel Casino recently announced Crew Members of the Quarter honors. These crew members are ideal examples of the “Ramada Express Team Commitment” and were honored by George Stadler, President and General Manager, Ramada Express, along with fellow crew members and guests at a reception sponsored by the Ramada Express Hotel Casino. Each winner received an impressive package of appreciation including an engraved plaque; a generous cash award; luggage; one extra week of vacation; two nights at the Tropicana, Las Vegas with Follies tickets; four tickets to a Ramada Express concert of choice; dinner or Sunday Brunch at Passaggio Italian Gardens for four; dinner for two at the Steakhouse; Parlor Car Suite at the Ramada Express for one night; and a special parking space. Cindy Gibson, Group Sales Office Administrator, joined the Ramada Express in 2005 and has over twenty years of casino industry experience. Her dedication to the growth of the group sales department has made her a valuable asset to the company. Ginger DeBenedetto, Vice President of Marketing, expressed her gratitude by commenting that Gibson “has a great attitude, welcomes new challenges, and continues to build and maintain valuable relationships with passengers.” Cheryl Plumlee, Floor Person, was recognized for her brilliant personality and dedication to service. As a crew member who spends much of her day interacting with passengers, she has been rewarded for her friendly and welcoming demeanor. Mark McCrindle, Vice President of Slot Operations, applauded Plumlee for her consistent improvement over the years. He added, “She has the great ability to see and understand events as they happen.” Cymbre Roessner, Front Desk Secretary, has been with the Ramada Express for thirteen years. She has been recognized an impressive three times because of her positive attitude and ability to wear many hats. Mark Bryant, Vice President of Hotel Operations and Entertainment, said, “She is everything that a great secretary should be and much, much more.” Gordon Zahara, Lead Food and Beverage Cashier, joined the Ramada Express team in 2002. Zahara works the graveyard shift and was recognized for his commitment to accuracy. Tim Blessing, Vice President of Food and Beverage, explained that Zahara spent “21 years in the NAVY and has more than enough experience. He runs a very tight ship and displays hard work and dedication every day.” In addition to recognizing the Crew Members of the Quarter, Supervisors of the Year were also honored. 24 crew members received five, ten or fifteen-year pins at the ceremony, and 36 crew member promotions were announced. Special awards were also given out to nine crew members who completed supervisory and management training during the year. The Crew Members of the Quarter are nominated and chosen by department supervisors according to how well they demonstrate the five Aztar qualities—a friendly smile, a cheerful greeting, an outgoing personality, a team commitment, and a dedication to service.
